About StudioFirst Field
While in the West computer graphics was bearing fruit, in Russia it was making only first steps on the vast un-ploughed field. It was critically important to master advanced solutions and technologies and introduce them on the domestic market as soon as possible. The First Field studio was among the first group who started to plough Russian digital expanses with the use of state-of-the-art equipment.
Founded in 2000 by Gleb Shagun (company’s general producer and its self-perpetuating chief for already seven years) the company during its first years was kind of “testing laboratory” which introduced latest technologies and solutions into computer graphics on the domestic media market. It mainly cooperated with the First Channel TV station. The cooperation resulted in creation of an amalgamation of unique professionals and ultra modern technical base, which was literally speaking “rafted” down the Moskva River. We mean the platform jetty, which houses our office. It is moored at the Frunzenskaya Embankment. And everybody knows the characteristic features of water – its presence contributes to free flow of thoughts.
Among other major works from the First Field work list we especially single out our participation in the Night Watch film production, creation of a computer graphics package for the Last Hero TV project. At present, our client base includes Alfa-bank, Rostselmash, Rambler, Esquire, and others. By orders of the Roskino film production organization the Studio produces animation films for children.
Application of computer graphics is not limited to cinema and TV. First Field employs best polygraphic and Web designers with art education, the characteristic, which is of vital importance: without benchmark images there is no worthy embodiment.
To help “ploughers” of the country’s media fields First Field joined forces with the Apple Company and they jointly organized training program for users of the Final Cut Pro non-linear editing program package. |
